As we know by now, there’s been a decline in housing inventory in the New Hampshire real estate market. According to data presented in NHAR’s most recently published market report, last month’s inventory was down 16.6% year over year, while new listings were also down by 11.6%. With a 12.2% decrease in the days on market for homes sold last month versus April of 2018, it’s clear our state’s lack of inventory is creating a heavy demand from serious buyers. We’ve seen the amount homeowners receive from their sale remain steady at a healthy 98.4% of their list price year over year, yet the median sale price of their homes has increased by 2.1%. Homebuyers in New Hampshire spent more on their purchases last month than they did in April of 2018, while the homes on the market sold at a faster rate than they did the year before.
What does this all mean? It means that YES! There are buyers for your home! You can sell it!
If you’re a homeowner in New Hampshire and you’re considering selling your home, there’s never a better time to do so than a Spring market when inventory is heavily needed.
