Did you know that having house plants has been proven to:

  1. improve someone's mood
  2. lower stress/anxiety
  3. improving office performance and focus
  4. improving the overall air quality of a space

Plus, they are such a beautiful addition to a space. Plants breathe life into any room, adding that pop of green we've all been needing. Houseplants are guaranteed to fill up your home with a little more love.

However, some of us still struggle with keeping a single succulent alive. With all the benefits that come with becoming a plant parent, it's a great personal goal to work towards in 2022. Thankfully, there are some plants that have a "beginner" care level, and here's some of our favorite house plants that aren't super high maintenance:

Paddle Plant

Preferred Environment: Full Sunlight or Light Shade

Water: Water when soil is completely dry

Interesting Fact: Paddle plants can get up to 2ft tall in the right conditions.

String of Pearls

Preferred Environment: Hung in a sunny window

Water: Misting every other day

Interesting Fact: String of Pearls plants are also known as Rosary Bead plants.

Lady Palm

Preferred Environment: Indirect Sunlight / Any room with some natural light

Water: Water when soil is completely dry

Interesting Fact: These plants are native to China.

Aloe

Preferred Environment: Indirect Sunlight

Water: Water every two weeks, keep in shower room for easy misting!

Interesting Fact: An aloe plant can survive over 100 years.

English Ivy

Preferred Environment: Adaptable from full sun to full shade.

Water:Once weekly

Interesting Fact: Ivy has been used with thyme and primrose to treat asthma, bronchitis, and cough in children. (Please do your research before trying to treat something from an article on a real estate page. We just like houseplants.
