PORTSMOUTH — Cornerstone Artisan Pizza & Craft Beer is partnering with Gather, Red Post Reality and Smuttynose Brewing to raise funds to provide 20,000 meals for people in need.

The fundraising effort runs through Dec. 10 and Cornerstone is donating $1 for every Smuttynose beer sold. Guests also can add any donation amount to their final check. On Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. Cornerstone will host a special event for Gather to raise funds and awareness about hunger in the community and how our neighbors can help.

Cornerstone specializes in artisan pizza and craft beer and is located in the Frank Jones Brewyard in the West End. Cornerstone’s mission is to build community through food and beer.

“It’s important to support the community that supports us,” said Patrick Patterson. “Being in the food industry, Gather made perfect sense for us.”

Red Post Realty is one of the newest real estate brokerages in the Seacoast serving New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. It is donating $100 for every house sold through Dec. 10.

Red Post and Cornerstone also are collecting non-perishable foods throughout the fundraiser.

Gather, formerly named Seacoast Food Pantry, was founded in 1816 by a small group of women committed to feeding the families of fishermen.

Gather serves those in the Seacoast experiencing hunger including house-bound seniors, adults with disabilities, children and people in need due to health issues. It offers nutritious food and recipes for healthy living through innovative mobile distribution programs and its Pantry Market. Visit www.gathernh.org.
